Semantic web and genetic algorithms

I have been lately diverted to semantic web endeavors. I am slowly coming back, tough,  to keep upgrading E2K with a list of features I have on the pipe. I would like to talk about one of the features: semantic web support for E2K. You may be wondering what does the semantic web has to […]

About

Evolution to Knowledge (E2K) is a set of Data to Knowledge (D2K) modules and itineraries that perform genetic algorithms (GA) and genetics-based machine learning (GBML) related tasks. The goal of E2K is two fold: simplify the process of building GA/GBML related tasks, and provide a simple exploratory workbench.

Introducing new features to E2K

No, sometimes no news are good news. We are currently working on introducing new features to Evolution to Knowledge. Most of the new features we are working on introducing fitness inheritance techniques based on probabilistic model-building GAs and expanding the list of available evolutionary operators available. We also have the blueprints to build the necessary components to create an itinerary that implements XCS (although this one is running on a slighter low priority when compared to the previous ones). We hope that once GECCO 2007 submission deadline is over, we can push most of this components into a new release of E2K.

E2K has been released!!!

The first release of D2K is out. Version 1.1 has been released today on the Automated Learning Group website. Check the download page for more information.

E2K forums already open

I just finished setting up the E2K forums. You can access the forums here. The E2K release is ready and on the process of being release via the ALG page, be patient for one or two more days. :D

Warming up for the D-day

E2K is getting ready to be released. I just hurried to finish the last minute changes and test to make sure that it works with the latest release (4.1.2) of D2K. This would have not been possible without the help of ALG members, always willing to answer my naïve questions. :)
